“to
contribute leadership & business experience in export expansion” |
What
is the District Export Council?
A brief explanation of
the role of the DEC in the Inland Empire: District Export Councils,
or DECs, are groups comprised of local business owners and community
leaders, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, to promote
the development of export trade within their community. These individuals
are selected based on their knowledge of international business
and exporting and their civic involvement.
Fore more than 25 years,
DECs have served the United States by assisting small and medium-sized
companies in their local communities increase their export business,
thus promoting the country’s economic growth and creating new and
higher-paying jobs for their communities.
