How to become a CIEDEC Member

SUMMARY: Notice of Opportunity to Serve as a Member of the California Inland Empire District Export Council (CIEDEC). The U.S. Department of Commerce is currently seeking expressions of interest from individuals to serve as a member of CIEDEC. We are requesting nominations for a 3 - year term which begins on January 1, 2008 and ends December 31, 2011.

Selection Process: Nominations are recommended by the local Inland Empire USEAC Director in consultation with current CIEDEC members and local export promotion partners. After a review process, nominees will be selected and appointed to the DEC by the Secretary of Commerce.

Membership Criteria: Appointment is based upon an individual's energetic leadership, position in local business community, knowledge of day-to-day international operations, interest in export development, and the willingness and ability to devote time to council activities. Eligible individuals for membership include export service whose profession supports U.S. export promotion efforts.

Application for Nominations: Must be received by October 31, 2007
